Birth Story
As a mom, you have endured 9 months of pregnancy and you are about to embark on one of life’s most special moments. The moments shared on the day of the birth of your child can sometimes seem like a blur. Having a photographer at your birth can forever solidify those memories and give you a way to look back on that once in a lifetime experience. What would it look like to have the memories of that moment immortalized in photographs? My goal is to capture those moments of joy and struggle, peace and pain, and most importantly to capture the miracle that is child birth.
We begin by discussing your birth plan and vision for photos. During this meeting, we will review the contract, your birth history, and discuss the best ways to communicate in the weeks and days leading up to your labor. Additionally, we’ll cover how and when to reach out to me once labor begins. I will remain with you throughout the entire birthing process, plus an additional 1-2 hours afterward. This ensures we have ample time to capture those precious moments of motherhood, nursing, and the family’s first meeting with the new baby.
A complimentary maternity shoot ~ An initial consultation to go over key information ~ At 37 weeks I go on call 24/7 ~ Coverage begins when in active labor and ends 1-2 hours after birth ~ Receive a minimum of 50 finished images ~ Print release form ~ Add a “Fresh 48 Session” (Newborn photos 48 hours after birth) for an additional fee.
Don’t worry mama, I’ve got you! I cover all of this information in detail during our initial consultation meeting. The details are laid out in the contract to make sure it is fair for both parties.
Most hospitals permit two individuals to be present during a C-section. You have the option to include me as one of those two individuals in the operating room, or if you prefer, I can take photos once the baby arrives and you are settled back in your room.
This is your unique birthing experience. My goal is to document it in the way you envision and however you’ll be most comfortable. We will discuss your comfort level regarding exposure during labor and delivery. If you prefer photos from the waist up, that’s perfectly fine! I can accommodate that. If you’re interested in capturing images of the baby crowning, I will do my utmost to ensure you get those moments.
I have a hello world sign
Thank you for taking the time to review my work and determine if I am the ideal person to capture your beautiful memories. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you!
